  4.  │   The Callback Verifier will confirm the telephone number you are      │
  5.  │   calling from by disconnecting and calling you back.  Please make     │
  6.  │   sure the phone number you entered is correct for your modem.         │

  8.  │   After the Callback Verifier disconnects, make sure your terminal     │
  9.  │   program is set so your modem will answer the phone.                  │
  10.  │                                                                        │ 
  11.  │   Wait for your phone to ring, then make your modem answer.  Your      │
  12.  │   screen should print "RING" each time the phone rings.  Have the      │
  13.  │   modem answer your phone by typing ATA and pressing Enter.            │
  14.  │                                                                        │ 
  15.  │   When connected again, please enter your password after the initial   │
  16.  │   message.  You may see a burst of garbles or codes when the modems    │
  17.  │   first connect to each other.  If your password is accepted, you      │
